Hey guys, It’s me, Pratsie here again. Today I will be talking about Harry Potter. I’m just facing one teeny weeny problem, if I start talking or writing or even just thinking about harry potter, I can NEVER STOP. I call it Potterhead-ism-itis (try saying that five times fast)
Heads up : this post is going to be full of memes and gifs.
Whenever I watch Harry Potter, sparks fly into the air. Every holiday, my mom and I have a tradition to watch all the Harry Potter movies from 1 to 8. Here is a list from my favourite to least (1 being least favourite)
Chamber of secrets
Goblet of fire
Philosopher's stone
Deathly hallows part 1
Half Blood prince
Deathly hallows part 2
Prisoner of azkaban
Order of phoenix
These are my favourite movies. I will be (Hopefully) writing a blog post about each of the movies with a few (maybe a lot) of spoilers. This post is about my mind blowing experience with Harry Potter.
Please don’t get mad at me but I hated Harry Potter at first.
I had bad experiences with Harry Potter, my mom kept playing the Kings Cross scene with Dumbledore from the Deathly Hallows part 2. I did not understand anything. And then One miraculous day… I watched Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone! And then the magic happens (Pun intended) And then… I got addicted.
Following that little incident, for a month or two, the only thing I watched was Harry Potter. My parents actually got sick of it. A few weeks after I watched the movies, I read the cursed child. To this date, it remains my favourite Harry Potter book. And then I realised the wonders that JK. Rowling can do with words. I just wanted to keep reading and reading and reading. I borrowed all the books from the library but then, my mom - my Harry Potter guru also wanted to start reading all the books over again, so my dad got all caught up and was like “You know what, I'll buy you guys the Harry Potter books!” And I was so happy. So I read all the books and we lived happily ever after! The end!
No, just kidding… The best part is yet to come. On my 11th birthday, my parents decorated my room with Harry Potter posters and stuff. That was one of the best gifts I got that day. Ever since, I have been adding many things to my HP wall. As you read further, you will see the wonders of the HP wall!
Me and my parents had a shopping spree once and we bought Harry, Hermione and Ron figurines and a small copy of the daily prophet. We also got 4 wands, Harry's Hermione's, Ron's and Dumbledore's.
My favourite character is Hermione and my second favourite is Sirius Black. Why do I like Sirius Black? I have no Idea. My best friend loves Pansy Parkinson (Don't even get me started on that!) What are your favourite characters? Comment down below!
So, I've never really admitted this to anyone, but there have been times where I just burst out laughing for absolutely no reason, well that's what everybody thinks, but the truth is that I start thinking about this Harry Potter scene from the prisoner of Azkaban. Watch👇👇👇
"You Insolent... Little... Professor" I don't know what makes me think that but I seems to me as if the "movie" is calling Snape a "Insolent little professor." Which I totally agree with. I know that some of you out there would be ready to punish me for this, but this is my list of top 3 horrible characters.
Toad face
"Voldy"-mort
Snivellus greasy
Translation:
Delores Umbridge
Voldemort
Severus Snape
Look, I hate Snape. If not as much as old toad face and voldy, I still hate him. I know what you are going to say, 'He sacrificed his life' but hey, he made Harry's poor already miserable life 10x more miserable. Can't argue with that right?
One of my friends from primary school was CRAZY about Snape! We literally had debates. I read all the books but there is one moment that I can get over. I hate Snape for eternity for this. HE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!!!! Even if I tried to forgive him, my instincts won't let me. Only a heartless person would do that. That's right, I'm calling Snape heartless.
Apart from old Snivellus now, let's talk about the queen! Of course I'm talking about Hermione! I mean, who would not like her. She is the most favourable character in the whole series. I could go on and on about her. Actually, she is soo much like me. The best part is that she loves to study!
That adorable face.😍😍 I also just adore how she tells Ron off : Me trying to mimic Hermione👇👇
*Clears throat* "Now if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed, before either of you two come up with another clever Idea to get us killed, or worse - expelled!"
*Ron* "She needs to sort out her priorities!" Ohh, I just love that 😃😃
And one of her best lines : "Its LeviOsa, not LeviosA"
Okay, Now I'm going to set myself a challenge that I know I can knock out of the way. Try to type 10 Harry Potter dialogs without google! I'm going to start a stopwatch, let's see how long it takes... 3... 2... 1... GO!
"Its LeviOsa not LeviosA" - Hermione Granger
"That's my girlfriend you numpties" - Ron Weasley
"Harry potter is dead" - Voldemort
"Step away from my godson" - Sirius Black
"Protect her, protect them all" - Severus Snape
"Now if you two don't mind, I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed or worse expelled" - Hermione Granger
"Words are in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both inflicting injury and remedying it" - Albus Dumbledore
"I'll fight you" - Neville Longbottom
"You dare use my own spells against me potter" - Severus Snape
"You're the boss" - Ron Weasley
Done! I took exactly 3 minutes for that! Not bad!!
Well, now onto one of my favourite parts of Harry Potter, the quotes. I know I'm doing a lot of listing, but here are my top 10 quotes that made an Impact:
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” - Albus Dumbledore
“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” -Albus Dumbledore
“Every great wizard in history has started out as nothing more than what we are now, students. If they can do it, why not us?” - Harry Potter
“The ones that love us never really leave us. You can always find them.” — Sirius Black
“It is the quality of one’s convictions that determines success, not the number of followers.” — Remus Lupin
“We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on...that’s who we really are.”- Sirius Black
"Don't pity the dead Harry, pity the living!" - Albus Dumbledore
"It is not our abilities that show what we truly are. It is our choices." — Albus Dumbledore
"Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy." — Albus Dumbledore
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?" — Albus Dumbledore
So, I've always loved these quotes and in fact I even try to act on them sometimes. You probably noticed that all of these are from the movies and not the books, Well that's because the movies resonates with me! I watched them all like a million times. To be honest, I am still waiting for my hogwarts letter. I'm turning 12 soon and I still haven't gotten it, but I consider myself a late bloomer. But you know what? It’s because of lockdown that I have not got my letter. It must have affected the wizarding world too…
There was this one incident where a small boy and his family came to my house for dinner. He started playing with my wands. He put them in his mouth and everyone was like "Oh, no, he might hurt himself." But that was the least of my concerns, I was worried that he might spell himself, he had the pointy side in his mouth, what if like Seamus he may say something like "Wingard leviosa - Wi-gau-d- vevi-sa or Incendio - I-ce-dio" and then... BOOM! Before I knew it I heard myself saying it out loud. We all had a big laugh.
Imagine you had a friend who only talks about Harry Potter well, I am that person. Every time someone says something, I instantly relate it to Harry Potter, I really don’t know how, but it just happens.
My whole room is filled with Harry Potter, I call it... The wall of my Potter-ism Fame!👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
I've got tons of Harry Potter stuff in my room. Imagine how cool it would be to wake up to Harry's (😂🤣)daunting face everyday. Actually, not everyday cause... umm... nevermind!
Both of the big posters were one of the my most amazing birthday gifts like I had mentioned before.
The big HP symbol is in the Gryffindor colours. I drew it and cut it out myself!
The brown thing in the middle is a map of the wizarding world. Many people mistake it for the Marauder's map, but in fact it is a map of the wizarding world with all the famous landmarks such as 'The flight of the hippogriff' or 'The battle of the Dragon.' This map also includes Kings Cross as well as the Knight Bus. As you all know, I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts letter. The last thing I need is to lose my way in the wizarding world. Hence the map!
....This is another artwork that you would find in my wall of my Potter-ism Fame. This is made in a canvas that was left. I tried to make it some sort of abstract art. Honestly, I found so many flaws in it, but my mum said that it was really good and that kept me going. On the top right corner, you will see the letters S.P.E.W. you may wonder what it is if you have only watched the movies, but if you are a diehard fan of The Hermione Granger, you would know what it is. S.P.E.W is a society that Hermione made. "The society of promotion of elfish welfare" She thought that elves were being treated unfairly. (I absolutely agree with that!)
Like I had said before, I had a shopping spree. I bought Harry, Ron and Hermione figurines, these are really beloved to me, they sit next to my dad's Woody (he loves Toy Story). I have also got Harry's, Hermione's, Ron's and Dumbledore's or should i say Harry's ;) (or Grindelwald's) Wands!
... My Cute Harry soft toy
I remember this one time when we went to a shopping mall and there was this amazing claw machine and note this - it was ONLY amazing cause there was a Harry Potter toy in it. I spent 10 coins to win that one little soft toy **Mom screaming on the side** I won it!! Yea! My mom did ALL the hard work!
AND..
Never mind!! I would like to stop here for now because this blog will never find its end till I decide to put my pen down (sorry my keys down😁😁)
Signing out,
Cya!
"One of my friends from primary school was CRAZY about Snape! We literally had debates."
I'm assuming that was me?
Btw I still love Severus, but I've gotten obsessed with Draco Malfoy lately, so... 😝😝😝😝
